One in five Canadians suffers from chronic pain and, among them, half a million individuals are enduring the challenges of Spondyloarthritis. Although the term may sound imposing, it primarily manifests as pain and limitations. However, with an average delay of seven years to receive a proper diagnosis, it becomes evident that a lack of education and awareness is contributing to this significant setback. It is of utmost importance to spread knowledge, empower individuals, and initiate conversations about this debilitating condition. It was a pleasure to collaborate with Zoomer Radio in discussing Dr. Elie Karam’s personal journey with Spondyloarthritis.
